Excellent book for stroke patients and caregivers

This book is written by a therapist who lived alone without family and then suffered a significant stroke. She outlines what things she did to help herself, what tools she got, what exercises she felt were the most helpful, etc. it's an excellent book both for the stroke patient, the caregiver, and the family!

An excellent read for healthcare professionals

As an Occupational Therapist, this book gave me a "patient" perspective from someone with my educational background. A lot of great compensatory ideas and strategies straight from the author's own experience and a lot of eye opening moments about how the brief actions of a healthcare professional can affect the lives of the patients we touch. A great gift idea!
